The intervention, covering an area of more than 8,000 square meters, involved the construction of a residential complex of three tower buildings at an area previously occupied by a commercial building, recovering the disused area and allowing its reintegration within the particular context offered by the Quarry Park.
The design of the residences, by studio BEMaa, was guided mainly by the relationship with the Quarry Park and the fine architectural language of some of the residential developments in the surrounding area, appropriately reinterpreted in a contemporary key.
The use of plays of different heights and volumes, the chromatic choice of red finishing plaster, and the use of translucent clinker-like tile on the facade are a tribute to Milanese architecture of the 1960s-70s and some of its best interpreters such as Gio Ponti and Caccia Dominioni.
The intervention involved BMS Progetti in the development of all engineering, technical and management components, in continuous collaboration with the Client and the Architectural consultant.
