The Palms Resort Beach Hotel is located in the central area of Kuwait City coast.
Our task was to design a multi-storey car silos, equipped with three fully automated stacker cranes serving 11 levels with 410 parking spaces.
All structural design stages, from the schematic and the preliminary design to the construction one, were developed by BMS Progetti in coordination with ParkPiù, leading company which constructs and installs stacker cranes all over the world.
The main request was to design a large capacity car park within a limited plot area. The structure is then vertically developed, entering the building in an already well defined tourist context, a few meters from the sea.
The structure is made of prefabricated reinforced concrete, which allows rapid construction, in order to avoid lenghtening the building site phase and thus harm the tourist activity of the structure.
